DOGGETT STREET STUDIO 2007, BRISBANE - STRADBROKE ISLAND PAINTINGS & DRAWINGS
This exhibition sprang out of drawing and painting on the move as breaks from work became painting holidays more than just plain holidays. Working outside instead of in a studio dictates the use of portable media and tools capable of rapid set up and decampment, and a working style to suit. Graphic brush drawings with expansive ink washes were evolved to depict favourite places, natural elements and colour under a bright sun.
