INK PAINTINGS

Brush and ink is a very free medium, drying quickly to allow fast progress. This immediacy allows my often drawing based approach to flow into the expressive colour massing. Whether atmospheric or more delineated, images can be simple, complex, bold or intensified by translucent layering. The works in this section are on canvas, panel (prepared plywood) and paper. There are also some pastel works.
